God gives dentists

Hi family and friends! This is Ingrid and I am going to tell you about going to the dentist.

On Wednesday morning, Mom, Martha, Lars, Ellie, Matthias and I went to the dentist to get our teeth checked. First they pulled a couple of teeth out....kidding! First, I had to wait a long time...zzzzzz...but I read some magazines, changed a diaper and played with Matthias. Matthias makes a long wait more pleasant! Martha went in first with a really, really nice new dental hygienist. Then Lars went in with Susan - she is very nice, too. OK, all of them are nice. Ellie went in with "NeNe". Let me explain. This dental hygienist had the same hair, same voice, a lot of similarities to my Tante NeNe. She wanted to take Matthias home with her, too! heehee Mom went in next. Then "NeNe" came to get me!

First, I got comfortable in the chair and she put a "bib" on me. Second, she scraped my teeth. She was looking for food that was left behind by my toothbrush. Third, she used a spinny toothbrush with strawberry toothpaste to brush my teeth. Fourth, she washed my mouth out with water. That felt good. Fifth, she flossed my teeth. Sixth, the dentist came in and talked to me about my teeth. She asked if I had any fillings or pain. She gave me some good news! NO CAVITIES!!! Hallelujah! Seventh, the dental hygienist (NeNe) gave me a cup of water and I swished it around in my mouth and spit it down this tube thing. Eighth, I asked her if I needed braces. She told me that I should see an orthodontist because I will need braces in the future. Ninth, I chose some prizes: a rainbow bracelet, 2 pirate eye patches for Bjorn and me, a psychedelic orange tooth case, 2 stickers, 2 flossers, a toothbrush and toothpaste. Tenth, we stopped at Wendy's for lunch (thanks, Mom) and then went home. I am thankful that God gives us dentists so our teeth don't rot!
